Steel Gratings

Steel gratings

Introduction

Steel grating, also called bar grating or metal grating, is an open steel grid assemblies with its bearing bars and cross bars jointing at their intersections either by welding or locking. It is used for stair treads, manhole covers, handrails and various industries, like chemical, oil & gas, civil engineering, food processing, pharmaceuticals, steel, electric power, wastewater treatment and so on.

Galvanized steel gratings

Introduction

Galvanized steel grating, or galvanized steel bar grating, a steel grating with flat steel cross-arranged at a certain interval and cross bars, is welded to form a square grid in the middle. Two technologies are applied to manufacture galvanized steel grating, one is welded galvanized grating, and the other is press-locked galvanized grating.

Advantages

Galvanized steel grating has the advantages of ventilation, light transmission, non-slip, strong bearing capacity, beautiful and durable, it is easy to clean and install.

Application

Galvanized steel gratings can be widely used in various fields, like drainage ditch covers, manhole covers, handrails, railway bridge sideways, industrial platforms, ladder pedals, high-altitude tower platforms, road guardrails and fences for enterprises. They can also be used for exterior windows of buildings and the guardrails of houses and balconies, etc.

Installation

Galvanized steel gratings can be installed in two ways: welding and mounting clamp fastening.

The advantage of welding is that it can be fixed permanently and will not loosen. The specific location for welding is on the first flat steel of each corner of the grating. The weld length is not less than 20mm and the height is not less than 3mm.

The advantage of installing clamps is that it does not damage the galvanized layer and is easy to disassemble. At least 4 sets of installation clamps are required for each board. The number of installation clamps is increasing as the length of the board increases. The safest method is to directly weld the screw heads to the beam without the lower clamp to ensure that the grating will not slip off the beam due to the loosening of the installation clamp.

Stainless steel gratings

Introduction

Stainless steel grating, a steel grating whose material is stainless steel. Its production process is similar to that of ordinary steel gratings, except that it does not require spray paint or galvanizing and other anti-corrosion treatments, but requires polishing surface to remove welding slags or scars left during the welding process.

Advantages

Stainless steel grating has the advantage of light weight, high strength, large carrying capacity, economical materials, ventilation, light transmission, modern style, beautiful and durable, non-slip,it is easy to clean and install.

Application

Stainless steel gratings can be mainly used for platforms, walkways, all kinds of trench covers, treads, large freight yards, wharves, coal mine roads and bridges, mines and mining industries, can carry large trucks through.etc.

Painted steel gratings

Introduction

Compared with galvanized steel grating and stainless steel grating, painted steel gratings are not only aesthetic but also cost-effective. Besides, the surfaces of painted steel grating can be sprayed into red, yellow, dust, black, white, gray and other colors, this finish treatment method can achieve the goal of keeping the styles consistent with the surroundings nearby, and it looks better than other steel gratings. To ensure smoother and more elegant surfaces of painted steel gratings after being sprayed, we usually use pressure-welded steel grating as the original plate of the painted steel grating before the surface treatment, being no frizz or paint residue caused by solder joints.

Specification available

Flat steel height(width) includes 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 32mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm, 50mm and so on.

Flat steel thickness includes 3mm,4mm,5mm and 6mm.

The distance between two loaded flat steels is 30mm, 40mm, 60mm or at the request of customers.

The center distance between two bars is usually 50mm or 100mm.

Applications

Painted gratings are widely used in power station, petrochemical, alloy, municipal construction, building materials, boiler, shipbuilding, chemical, general industrial plant and other industries.
